This place felt happy and alive with beautiful social areas and plenty of outdoor amenities to keep you moving and active. The apartments and villas are spacious with plenty of windows for natural light. Everything was clean and neat. Looks like a wonderful place to spend your final years with or without assistance when needed.

During my search of many independent living communities in the Myrtle Beach area, Portside at Grand Dunes got my attention immediately. Now as a resident of 3 weeks, I am confident that Portside is my new home. I feel welcomed every time I walk in the front door, at the meals, and activities. The residents and staff are caring and respectful of each other. One thing I have noticed is that everyone speaks to each other with a smile on there face. I love it at Portside!

Very nice facility! It was our first visit to any assisted living facility. We made an appointment just one day before so they were very accommodating. Since it was our first visit [name removed] was very informative about assisted living.

From my first tour right through my decision to move to Portside, my experience has been wonderful. Every time I met with Susan I had my list of questions and she answered every one with candor, enthusiasm, understanding and clarity. If she didn’t have the answer she would find it. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. Most staff remembered my name after only hearing it one time. This is remarkable with a name like mine! So I’m eager for my next adventure to begin.

Absolutely love the place would be more interested in the villas which I understand. There is a waiting list, but I am not in a hurry. I need at least a year to downsize and sell my home.

I wish I could convince my dad not to move. He looks better than he has in years and has gained some mobility back.

Can’t begin to say how thankful I am that a community like Portside at Grande Dunes exists. My dad had a fall that resulted in a brain bleed and a fractured femur. After weeks of rehabilitation at Grand Strand he was going to be released to go home in a wheelchair for 6 weeks of nonweight baring limitations. However, the house my parents live in is not set up for a wheelchair. We were able to secure a place for him at Portside for respite care. It was a God send for our family. The staff was so accommodating and helpful in managing his care while he was there. It was bittersweet when he left to come home. Grateful he was able to come home but leaving the security of knowing someone was looking out for him 24/7 was rough. Those of you dealing with aging parents know the difficulties of caring for parents who are determined to maintain their independence in their house while you are doing all you can to protect them. It’s a constant struggle. Thanks to the staff and all those who came in contact with my dad while he was there. You were lifesavers!

I visited this facility My tour at Portside at Grande Dunes was great. I love the property and I love the apartments, but I don't love the price. They're very pricy. In comparison to the other places, this was the best. The floor plans that they offer were great. I'm looking for a two-bedroom, which they can accommodate. The balcony is great because I really want some kind of outsource that I can go to when I need to go outside. One of the biggest sellers is the kitchen. There's so much storage. There was the saltwater pool that you can access from the beach. I have a dog that I will be bringing with me, and they have a lot of trails. I was totally impressed with Portside. They have classes and things, and I love all of it.

Portside at Grande Dunes is a full service facility for Seniors, allowing easy transitions between Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff is so caring and helps to make the residents feel comfortable and cared for. My parents started in Independent then moved to Assisted, and then my Mom was in Memory Care for 10 months. The first floor care givers and med techs in Assisted Living were wonderful to my parents, caring and making them feel at home. I can't say enough about the staff in Memory Care, so compassionate, thoughtful and helpful. It's not an easy job, and the staff there take pride in what they do. There are too many to name, but I thank each and every one for their kindness and compassion for my Mom and my family. Thank you so much, keep doing what you are doing, you are making a big difference in people's lives! Sincerely, The Family of Ann Sayer
