My aunt Sharon is currently there, and has been off and on for close to a year. Deana Hager is the LPN, but she is so much more. She is like part of our family. So caring and so knowledgeable. She wears her heart on her sleeve and truly cares. She goes above and beyond for the residents. The world needs more people like Deana. The heritage staff interacts with the residents in a way that is truly amazing to see. I woukd recommend Heritage to anyone who is trying to make a transition to memory care for their loved one.

My Mother lived in an assisted living facility until they along with my wife and I were not able to meet her needs. After researching memory care units we selected Heritage Oaks in Englewood. So far we have been extremely happy with the care and attention my Mother receives. The staff is friendly and efficient, especially the director , whom we can contact at any time with our concerns, which is taken care of in a timely manner. The activities director , nurses and cna's are great. They keep Mom busy with plenty of daytime activities. They also have a nice hair salon for folks to get their hair done. The food is very tasty with choices of meals. Overall , we would recommend this facility for the care of your LOVED ONES.

Thank you to the memory care staff who care & love their residents and also support the families of the residents. That the staff cares so much, that they want to learn how to help the residents they are with daily speaks volumes.

My mother is a resident in Memory Care and I am thrilled with her care and the compassion she receives from the staff and Manager. They are attentive, willing to accommodate her needs, supportive, very loving to Mom, and follow up on any specific requests. They are open minded to feedback to improve any services/suggestions. Deana(Manager), Crystal, Alana, Patrick, Vickie, Janice, Franz, physical therapy, the Administrator, Ron, the receptionists, and the entire team know Mom by name and hug and give her so much affection. I am most grateful for the love given my Mother by the entire Heritage Oaks team. Thank you very much.

on A Place for Mom

My Mother has been living at Heritage Oaks for six months in the memory care unit. She lived in an assisted living before that. It got to the point where we and the staff could not fulfill all her needs. We now have peace of mind that she is taken well care of. We do not have to worry 24 - 7 about if she is ok. The staff goes beyond what we expected, especially the Memory Care Director. We have never had any of our needs for my Mother not taken care of in a timely manner. The food is very tasty and the activities directors in the memory care and assisted living area are just great. My wife and I wish we would have moved my Mother there sooner. Our hats go off for the services they provide. It takes SPECIAL PEOPLE TO DO THE JOBS THEY DO.

Heritage Oaks turned out to be a wonderful decision. My stepmother passed in April of 2023 (she would have loved this place) Unfortunately she didn’t get to see it. My father was finally accepted in August of 23 and at that time he was able to care for himself and his 3 cats. (That’s one of the main reasons I chose that for him so he didn’t have to separate from his fur babies) The place has so many amenities for the residents, in fact I’ll probably make my reservations sometime in the future when it’s my time. By November 23 my dad needed to go into Memory Care. My Uncle, dad’s brother also had Alzheimer’s/ Dementia and it ended up being his cause of death just like my dad who passed 12/30/24. I guess I’m just waiting my turn… LOL The memory care unit was a positive place. It didn’t take him too long before he got used to it. His failing memory had made Up some marvellous adventures that he took while there… his trip to China town New York City ( that was my favorite) plus so many others. The folks there were nice enough to let my dad keep one of his cats. We found a great home for the two boys and old Chloe was a good companion for my dad right up to the end. The staff in the memory care were wonderful. They were so very thoughtful and have tons of patience… God Bless them 🙏🏻 Deana the Memory Care Director is one of the nicest person you’ll ever meet and has a heart of gold. She really enjoyed listening to my dad and his life stories of owning a play house theater in Boston. (The Lyric Stage) Recently I was cleaning out his things over there and I found some Christmas and birthday cards the staff gave to him. I’m actually gonna miss going over there every couple days to see my dad and Chloe and of course the beautiful folks who care for the family over there. The folks living there kinda become family to one another. I’m so glad I found H.O. Of Englewood. They are aces in my book.

Both my parents moved in to assisted living there 3 yrs ago. They were very happy there and enjoyed the staff and other residents and the various activities for all. In July of 2024, I had to move them into Memory Care and was pleasantly surprised at how above and beyond the staff there did to make their transition positive! Our family loves this place; they are our eyes and ears from a far, as none of their children live in FL. They keep us informed and take our calls whenever there is a need or concern. You will not go wrong placing your loved one(s) here.

Heritage Oaks is a diamond in the rough! Hands down the nicest people. Such respect and love for their residents. I have not met one rude employee. They care so much for my inalws. We are far from them and know with them here they are safe, well fed and well cared for.

We moved my dad into Heritage Oaks a little over three years ago. At the time, he was welcomed with open arms, and in short time he acclimated to his new environment and enjoyed being with other residents and the staff. He loves the food and attention he gets, and he especially enjoys the music and activities they provide. Dementia is difficult to deal with, but Deana and the staff treat him with respect and kindness. Most of the time he thinks he has a job there and is so content to “be at work!” Living far away from him, I know I don’t have to worry about his well being. I highly recommend Heritage Oaks Memory Care to anyone who needs a loving, caring place for their family member with dementia.

The staff at Heritage Oaks deserves commendation medals for the caring way that they handle the many challenges posed by the residents in memory care. Day after day, the activity directors are dedicated to providing a stimulating environment. Deana Hager , the memory care coordinator is a treasure! They've all become family to both my resident husband and myself.

I selected Heritage Oaks Memory Care facility for my mom and glad I did. Dee and her staff have been outstanding with care, cleanings, meals, activities, and communications to keep me updated with mom. One can't expect 100% within a memory care facility. But this place does their best. I will highly recommend Heritage Oaks to care for your elderly folks 😀

My mother has been a resident in Memory Care for 2 years. I have never had a worry or concern about her safety or care. One of the reasons I chose Heritage Oaks was because of the activities and the way the staff did their best to involve every resident in some fashion in the activity, and they continue to do so even with staff changes and resident changes. Obviously in 2 years there have been staff changes. I visit my mother every other day and can say from personal experience that the current staff, from the top to the bottom, care about the residents (both in Memory Care and Assisted Living), do their best to always smile, engage with residents, work hard and are concerned about the cleanliness, health and welfare of all those under their care.
