Our father enjoyed Town Village for almost 20 years. It was home to him, he made many friends and always had something to do if he wanted. He loved his Veteran's meetings, playing pool, gardening, doing puzzles, listening to live entertainment and delicious meals. He always shared his woodworking crafts or fresh oranges with his friends there. My sister and I still visit and consider so many of the residents and staff as friends. We LOVE Town Village Audubon Park!
All the staff is friendly and caring. My dad loves the food and they have so many choices. Someone comes in and cleans every other week and will even make the bed! the 1 bedroom apartment size is perfect for 1 person. My dad is very happy there!
My dad lived at Town Village for almost 8 years. He called it "home". The employees and residents were like family and good friends. He enjoyed bingo and won often. The location is close to so many stores and activities. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We are very grateful that he had such a wonderful experience in his "home".
I love living at Town Village. There are daily activities and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They connect you with people who help you understand the rules and the way things run like doctor trips, special outings, and answering any questions you might have. We have live music every Friday afternoon and special events. The staff knows your name and my apartment is just the right size for me. I wear my security alarm to be sure I am safe from falls. The food is varied and we have a medical clinic on the grounds that you can sign up to use. I have made many friends and love it here. Some residents have four-legged friends who are well-behaved and loved. I highly recommend Town Village.
I would absolutely recommend it to others. It stays at 96% capacity. They have been there 30 years. Some of the staff have been there 10+ years. That demonstrates to me stability and consistency. They have tons of activities. The apartments are updated regularly. The residents get 3 meals a day with no extra cost. My mom absolutely loves it.
Not only it is like home...it IS home! Food is gr8!! No more cooking. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Best decision I have made!
My 90 year old uncle has been living at Town Village for years. As he has aged, I have had to spend more time there moving him to another apartment and arranging help for him. town Village has a history of of ala carte services for the elderly that has made my life easier - and enable him to stay there and not go to an assisted living facility. The staff and management has been very helpful and responsive. The food and dining room are very good also.
My mama finally feels like she's home. Everyone is so welcoming. The food is fabulous and many of the staff have been here for years and years. That continuity makes a huge difference in their loyalty and general demeanor at work.
Daniel and his team do a wonderful job creating a welcoming community for new residents. They are constantly hosting events to keep everyone active and engaged! Definitely a top-notch independent living community in the area!
Joe and I had been discussing moving into a retirement community for several years. We have known folks who have lived in at least eight such places in the Memphis area and have visited most of these facilities -- lovely places! But Town Village is the one that, through prayer and several visits here, seemed just right for us. What a good decision! The personnel have bent over backwards to accommodate our needs -- and wants! From doing needed as well as requested renovations, Town Village has met our every request. Having lived here now for almost four months, we are experiencing "for real" the first impressions we had, such as kind and friendly residents, great food, varied activities, appropriate amenities, and even available transportation and medical help. And we love our apartment and think that we are blessed to have the best location, the best parking spaces -- just everything we need to continue living productive lives. Marilyn Thweatt
The staff is professional and always willing to help with questions. There are a variety of things to do daily and people who will do the activities with me. The menu is printed and there is a alternative menu that allows a good variety of food.
I tried hard to think of something that would lower my score to 4 stars because nothing can be perfect, but try as I might I couldn't think of anything. The food is great and at each meal there are options enough to satisfy most any taste. There were a couple of minor things wrong with my apartment when I moved in, but they were taken care of immediately. I needed more shelf space in my closet and new shelves were installed without cost to me. There are activities available for anyone that wants to keep busy or to improve their quality of life. I could go on and on about the efficiency and friendliness of the staff and all the other amenities that make this truly home, but until you experience it you really can't know the pleasant feeling that begins at day one and continues to grow.
If I could give them a 10-star rating I would. I decided to book a10 day stay there just to see if I liked it and to my surprise, I loved it. The staff, the people, activities, the food and everything else was just awesome. I cant wait to go back , but I'm not quite ready to make it my preminate home yet because I still have some health procedures to get through first. Mu goal is to be able to move in by the first of the year.
Excellent! Daniel Lund is the best!
My mom absolutely loves it. Town Village stood out from the moment we walked thru the front door. There was a hustle and bustle, lots of smiling faces, a group of ladies playing Mah Jong who invited us to sit down and play, and so much more. My mother loves gardening and she was quite taken by the gardening opportunities onsite( Town Village provides the raised beds and all the potting soil) and the proximity to Dixon Gardens and the botanic Garden. Less than one week after she moved in, our family found ourselves dealing with the sudden death of one of my brothers. The Town Village community and staff provided so much support to my Mom. I actually think she was able to work thru her grief better at Town Village than if she had been at home. It is a wonderful place for my Mom.
There were two primary reasons why my wife and I were ready to move into an independent living community. We were tired of planning menus, shopping, and cooking our food, and we felt that we needed more social interaction. Town Village Audubon Park has more than met our expectations. Three meals a day are served in our dining room. The only exception is Sunday dinner. However, there is a bistro on site that is opened a few hours each day and they have a limited menu but also a refrigerator that is kept stocked 24 hours a day. With a varied and nourishing menu one can always find plenty to eat. It may not be like home, but it is good. The staff is very accommodating and understands the needs of the residents. An activity department has special events planned each day so that you can keep as busy as you want. In addition, there is an on-site Indoor pool where exercise programs are offered. Another major plus is there is an on-site primary care clinic that is staffed every day. Their object is to keep the residents out of the hospital and in this regard they offer vaccinations, blood test, and can meet your other medical needs in the comfort of your apartment. So even if you have a primary care physician medical care is available on site. Town Village Audubon Park checks all of our boxes, and it will yours too.
Sometimes the food is not as good as when it's at its best. But generally, everything is really good there. Most everyone is very cordial and helpful. They come in and hang paintings or pictures on the walls for you. They bring packages up from the front desk. The kitchen crew and waiters and waitresses are all super nice. Sometimes it gets a little backed up and it takes a little longer than usual. But, that will happen anywhere.
It’s really my home. My husband and I are happy, content, safe and feel fortunate to live here. Town Village provides many opportunities for education, fitness, and entertainment. Bistro for casual dining, the nook is a nice mini mart, Hope Primary Care does apartment visits on site with nurse practioners. The staff including the servers and kitchen staff are very attentive and helpful. It’s a pleasure to live here.
When I came to Town Village in July of 2023, it was to please my family. I no longer drove so it was good for that reason and I found a place to call home. The staff has been accomendating and very pleasant. I have made many friendships and would like to stay here as long as I am on the planet!
Friendly staff. Clean facility. The price and location stuck out over other places.
We started our search for a independent living community for seniors a few years before we actually made our move. We wanted to be proactive in determining our future and not have to leave that determination up to our three kids. Our search was in Rockville, Maryland, where our daughter and her family lived, and In Memphis, Tennessee, home to our two sons and their families. We visited a number of places during this time and saw a number of facilities, but every time we visited Town Village Audubon Park we felt its call. About three years after beginning our search we, with some anxiety, moved into Town Village, but after only a short time here we felt certain we had made the correct choice. There were two basic reasons we were ready to move. We had grown tired of planning for, shopping for, and then cooking our meals. Secondly as we aged we were becoming more isolated and felt the need for more social interaction. Meal time at Town Village, and that is three meals a day, with the added advantage of a bistro, provides not only good food but an opportunity to dine and interact with different residents as you wish. Thus plenty of opportunities for social interaction at meal time. Then there is the additional value of the many activities and amenities offered that add to the social interaction. Happy hour in the bistro, educational classes, exercise sessions, some in the pool, bingo, trivia time, and a variety of other games give one a daily opportunity to meet and mingle. The entire staff and the residents welcomed us with open arms, we are so glad we made this move, we are home.
Coming to Town village was a blessing for me and my little schnauzer Louie. We are surrounded by extraordinary staff and residents who have become great friends and family. Kindness is key to uniting us all and creating an atmosphere of fun and good times.
I moved in seven months ago and have enjoyed every minute of every day. The food ia great. A wide variety that should suit anyone's fancy. I love the feeling of security knowing that I'm safe and if I were to need assistance it's within a phone call away. My children feel reassured about my safety and comfort here at Town Village Audubon Park. Sherry Riggins
I visited this facility Town Village Audubon Park was a very nice place. Dan, who showed me around, was very nice. I had lunch there, and the food was good. I like the location as far as where it is situated in the city. I only had one issue, and that was the price. It was pretty expensive. It looked like the facility itself was well taken care of. It was clean. It was wintertime, so I couldn't see any bushes blooming or anything, but it looked like it was well taken care of.
I am Very satisfied with everything in general at Town Village. The rooms are slightly smaller than some other facilities but adequate. Amenities are good compared with other facilities
Both staff and residents are so welcoming that one truly does feel that they are home. Meal service is exceptional in that all meals are provided in either in dining room or the bistro, and always various menu options to choose from. Numerous activities are available to keep one busy, but participation is up to the individual. Other amenities such as transportation is available especially for shopping and medical visits. Its location is in a residential setting with a park, a golf course, a botanical garden, and an art center in the immediate vicinity. One feels welcome from the moment they walk in, and this feeling remains. Town Village Audubon Park is more than an independent living community, it is home.
I would highly recommend. We picked this community because of the location and availability.
I visited this facility The atmosphere at Town Village Audubon Park was excellent. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. He was most helpful and cooperative. The apartments were beautiful and very nice. I checked the dining area. I like the self-service area in addition to the dining room. With regard to activities, they have physical therapy. They also have a pool, a library, a salon, a movie room, and a gardening area. There's a theater room and a bar there as well.
Best place especially for the price. All staff members are great as well.
All of the categories that are listed receives 5 stars. What our family likes the most about Town Village Audubon Park is the people. Everyone there is so caring, attentive, friendly and welcoming. It truly was a home for mom.
