After Dad had a stroke and was needing extra care, we visited several senior living environments. But when we arrived at The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale and met [name removed] and her team, we knew we found the right place for Dad. The spaces are clean and inviting as a cruise ship! All the people we encountered—residents and staff—are friendly and welcoming. The common areas, dining room, gym, theater, library, patio and pool, are nicely appointed and well populated with people enjoying themselves. Dad’s 1-bedroom apartment is so spacious and bright, with fresh paint and updated appliances in the full kitchen. It is also quiet, yet steps away from the multiple activities planned each day. Dad loves the food and the fact that the chef is flexible in addressing diner’s requests. And he’s right in there when blackjack or tai chi is happening or some outside excursion is planned. Our family takes great comfort in the fact that 24-hr care is available, allowing Dad to age in place. 5 stars!
We like The Ranch Estates of Scottsdale very much. People are friendly and welcoming. We get 3 meals a day and usually the food is very good. The entertainment has been diversified and there is a Happy Hour or two weekly with wine and snacks. My husband visited six assisted living facilities in Scottsdale and chose this one. He made the arrangements and I moved in sight unseen. It's worked out well.
I’ve had a wonderful experience with Ranch Estates Senior Community in Scottsdale. The community is welcoming, caring, and provides a comfortable environment for its residents. [name removed] and [name removed] deserve special recognition for being so kind, helpful, and attentive. Their professionalism and genuine care really make a difference. We truly appreciate everything they do and would happily recommend Ranch Estates to others looking for a great senior community in Scottsdale.
Senior Care Facility Review We couldn’t be happier with our MIL’s new senior care community! From the moment she moved in, the staff has been incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. The care team and nursing staff, especially those under [name removed] leadership, have been absolutely wonderful. They truly go above and beyond to make sure she feels comfortable, cared for, and at home. Most importantly, she is happy—and she really loves the food! That alone tells us we made the right choice! We are so grateful to the entire team for the care, kindness, and peace of mind they provide our family.
What a beautiful property for my mother. The staff is so amazing and helpful. It is located in a perfect spot near the freeway for easy access. The options in the dining area were amazing. I also loved how everyone knew my mother by name.
I recently attended a Family Brunch at this facility where one of my family members resides. When I arrived it was very clean and inviting. The staff was exceptional and made me feel right at home. My family member loves residing there and now I completely understand why. Should I ever find myself looking for an assisted/independent living as such this will definitely be at the top of my list
Clean and smells nice. Nice spacious rooms with good accessibility and updates.
The ranch estates is amazing to the residents
I LOVE EVERY THING .
This Assisted Living makes things so easy for my parents. Great customer service, great neighbors, and great atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.
Our resident enjoy the community so much. It was a great decision to put them there and they made the process so easy. The community is full of the best people and all the staff are incredibly helpful. Everything was made easy and accessible. It made me so joyful to see how well he was doing there. They had so many events for him to engage with and build bonds in such a difficult time. For people without cars, the transportation was an easy process and Jenna was great help during the process. I definitely recommend.
The Team at The Ranches Estates at Scottsdale treats me with great respect and kindness when I visit. Their community is fabulous and well maintained. The residents are friendly and always active. The health care staff is outstanding and the dietary team make the best food items. And they welcome the best of the best health care partners. Thank you.
The facility is well managed, kept clean, staff is extremely friendly, and always available for help if needed. Dinning room is kept clean and food service is well done. Activity director is always available, keeps residents busy with all sorts of activities. Entertainers are rotated thru the facility on a good schedule. Happy hours are offered on a routine basis. All m in all not a bad place for communal living.

Numerous activities. .meet the residents who actually make you welcome and anxious to join in the festivities. Truly an inspiring community. Look forward for you to join our extended family
Great food and staff.
We recently moved our 95-year-old mother into this community and could not be more grateful for the warm welcome and incredible support we have received. From day one, Nurse Christy and her team have been exceptional-kind, compassionate, responsive, and always willing to answer our many questions as we navigate this transition. They have gone above and beyond to make sure our mother feels welcomed and cared for, while also making our family feel supported and confident in this new chapter. Thank you for helping make her first week such a smooth and positive experience. We truly appreciate all that you do!
We had visited several senior living environments and reviewed even more online. But when we visited The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale and met McKenna and her team, we knew we found the right place for Dad. While he had some reservations moving from his condo of 45 years, Dad has grown quite comfortable in his new home, quickly making fast friends.
I love this community! The staff is great, feels just like home.
Food is very good, diversified and healthy if you choose! Many activities from cards, board games, lectures, live music, movies. Staff is exceptionally trained. They treat us like family. Are always upbeat, funny and fun. Apartments are cleaned well twice a month. Desk receptionist is always very helpful. Residents are friendly, curious, helpful and generous
Five years ago my mother became a widow and was looking for a supportive community. After extensive searching, my mother immediately felt at home at The Ranch Estate of Scottsdale. A comfortable two bedroom apt became available and we secured it right away. She became involved in the community through productive activities. She had friendships that are so important. Staff is caring, supportive and always available not only to my mother but our entire family. We shared many meals, stayed for entertainment and made memories. We are grateful for the support, kind words and compassion shared with my family upon my mother’s passing. She was loved and cared for at The Ranch. With gratitude from Lana’s family. K
As a “returnee” to Ranch Estates, I am extremely happy with the changes made in management. Personally, I really enjoy the meals and the dining room staff. I am an Assisted Living resident and give the AL Staff an A+ rating. For me, living at the Ranch provides everything I need for this stage of my life—-activities, good meals, nice apartment, and friendly staff.
The Ranch Estates has been excellent. My dad recently needed extra help since having multiple strokes and they have made the transition easy and stress-free during such a stressful time. McKenna the director has checked in with my sister and I multiple times to assist when help is needed and even calls us when she’s busy at the airport to handle anything that comes up. Christy and Veronica in wellness assisted in making sure we had the prescriptions my dad needed right away when we were having trouble at the hospital getting things sent over. They made sure he had what he needed and communicated often with us. They also helped us set up care for him since he didn’t have a doctor and took any challenges in scheduling off of the table. Everyone is super friendly and has gone above and beyond to make our dad feel welcome.
The Ranch has made the transition for my grandmother so much easier than I thought it was going to be. They’ve been very helpful appropriately priced and more importantly the staff has been nicer than any other facility that we toured. Feel free to watch my video below for more information
I visited 5 places when I was looking for my new "home". The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale filled in all my qualifications I needed to live there. They have a great life enrichment director who makes us feel important and keeps our body and mind special . With all new directors , the "home" is a very good place to live.
After an exhaustive search, we picked Ranch Estates of Scottsdale to be my Mother's new home in October, 2022. Very happy with our decision! Every department—Administration, Wellness, Maintenance, Food Service, Activities and more have bent over backwards to insure my Mom's needs are taken care of. When the occasional issue pops up (things happen!) the staff is quick to communicate with me - and helps find a good solution. For us, this facility is just the right size—big enough to have lots of great activities and food choices—but small enough (about 100 residents) to insure that no one gets ignored. One of the most impressive things about the facility is how they strive to make it a warm, friendly, and caring community for all. Staff and residents take it upon themselves to foster friendships. If you visit Ranch Estates, you'll notice lots of happy people in the hallways, activity centers, dining room, entry area, and more. Speaking of activities - This place has lots of them! Weekly music performances (with snacks), Physical activity classes, arts and craft classes, games of all sorts, movies and presentations, religious studies, trips for shopping and entertainment, in-house shopping from independent vendors, and much more. Activities are happening every single day of the week. The wellness staff has been great about keeping up with my Mom's ever-changing needs. If they have any questions or concerns, they quickly let me know. Plus they have taken the time to really get to know my Mom—they are some excellent, caring people. I've had many meals with my Mom since she moved in to the facility. Lots of choices for a facility this size - plus I've had some excellent meals there. It's great that the dining room is open about 11 hours a day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many healthy alternatives on the menu plus traditional favorites. Since my mom moved in, a little over three years ago, there have been lots of positive changes. New carpeting throughout, new exterior paint job, new furniture in the dining room, lots of new light fixtures and much more. It seems that the administration is always striving to make it a better place to live. If you’re looking for a comfortable, happy senior, living experience for independent and assisted living, I strongly suggest you give the Ranch Estates a good look.
My mother lived at Ranch Estates for 11 years until she passed away at 103. She chose to stay in her beloved Arizona even though none of her 5 children lived there and Ranch Estates was the perfect place for her. It is small, cozy and has caring, competent staff who were good to her and encouraged her to live her best life. She was devoted to the chair yoga class, the black jack games and her weekly bridge games as well as the musical entertainment, the book discussion group and the swimming pool exercise (when she was younger!). The caregivers, the van driver, the administrators and the front desk staff were always extremely helpful, responsive and accommodating. It worked well for our family situation.
The food is excellent. I'm very satisfied here. Excellent location in Scottsdale. Activities are plentiful and varied. Card playing is my favorite. Exercise classes are excellent. Teachers understand this population.
I was at Ranch Estates yesterday and was really impressed. The new management team is incredibly kind and genuinely cares about their residents. You can feel the positive energy and warmth as soon as you walk in. It’s clear they’re committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment.
I looked at so many places for my mom and finally found the Ranch Estates! Every employee has been wonderful. I don’t know how they hire such great people! She loves it here! The food, holiday decorating, entertainment and everything they offer is wonderful! She is so happy here which makes us very happy too! She was adamant she would never leave her condo, but was forced to due to a very bad fall. It was a blessing in disguise. She has made some dear friends, and loves all the employees. I wish I knew the names of everyone but a few that go above and beyond: Vanessa, Jodi, Aaron, Anna, the chef, Paola, all the servers, and so many more!
My loved one is currently a resident at The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale and everything has been great. The staff is excellent to my mother. Housekeeping does a nice job. The move in process went without a hitch. I would highly recommend The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale to others!
My Mother (Nona) has been a resident at The Ranch Estates at Scottsdale for one year. My Mother absolutely loves it here. The staff are so wonderful and attentive to everyone’s needs. Sheila Hernandez was the Sales Director at the time when we were looking for a new place for my Mom. Sheila was just promoted to Associate Executive Director and I would like to congratulate her. My family was so impressed with her and the facility that we didn’t hesitate in procuring an apartment that has been nothing short of perfect for my mother’s needs. Janessa Becker the Area Director of Operations is terrific as well making her transition and move into her new place as seamless as possible. I would also like to recognize the nursing staff, starting with the Director Caroline and other nurse assistants like Cynthia and Vanessa whom make sure all of my mother’s prescriptions are administered to her and keep me informed and updated on any concerns they may have. The front desk staff, Barbara, Lynn and Kate have been outstanding and are so very nice to my family when we come visit. I can’t say enough good things about them. They always greet me with a big smile and conversation that it’s obvious they truly care about us. Anna her Physical Therapist insures my mother gets stronger everyday and keeps her active so she is able to get around and keeps doing the things that she enjoys. There are so many good people from Housekeeping, Restaurant and Maintenance employees that I would love to recognize each and everyone of them for taking such good care of my Mother. I know I didn’t mention everyone by name but want all of you to know how much we appreciate you and all that you do for us every day. Thank you very much, from the bottom of our hearts. Carl Phelps
