At the end of July, my mother suffered a fall and broke her femur. As you can imagine, this was a difficult and stressful time for our family. We needed to find an assisted living facility where she could receive the care, therapy, and support necessary to recover. We chose The Magnolia, and I can honestly say we could not have made a better decision. My mother moved into The Magnolia in mid-August, and from the very beginning, our experience was wonderful. She received physical, occupational, and speech therapy and worked incredibly hard to regain her strength and independence. What truly sets The Magnolia apart is its amazing staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, compassionate, helpful, and genuinely concerned about my mother's well-being. They consistently went above and beyond to help not only my mother but our entire family. I cannot say a single negative thing about anyone there, and that is something special! Thanks to my mother's determination, the therapy she received, and the wonderful support surrounding her, she made remarkable progress. By the end of September, she had improved enough that we were able to bring her back home. When you place someone you love in the care of others, you hope they will be treated with the same kindness, patience, and compassion you would give them yourself. That is exactly what we experienced at The Magnolia. I cannot thank the entire staff enough for everything they did for my mother and our family. What began as a very difficult situation turned into an incredibly positive experience. I wholeheartedly recommend The Magnolia to anyone looking for exceptional care for a loved one. They truly made a difference in our lives, and we will always be grateful!
I spent 3 days there a few weeks ago, and everyone I met was incredible. Everyone seemed very attentive to all of the residents and I appreciated that. My dad has complained about the food a few times but I never ate it so I can't speak to that! Overall, we are very pleased with the facility and everyone involved.
My father has dementia. His condition became more than my working family could keep up with. We visited many facilities in a 50 mile radius. None could compare to The Magnolia at Oxford Commons. Their Assisted Living is amazing along with an amazing staff. If you choose this facility for you or your loved one, please ask for Lauren and she will blow you away with amazing hospitality and service. Memory Care is also built into the facility when that time comes. Its been an overwhelming postive experience so far. My father has been there over 30 days and the staff has done everything to acclimate and help him with all his needs.
The Magnolia is a beautiful Community! Spacious accommodations and the most helpful and friendly staff!

The most amazing place!! Lauren is awesome!
Magnolia at Oxford Commons has an absolutely beautiful setting. Everyone there was very friendly from the moment we walked through the door. Lauren has such an upbeat personality and makes you feel right at home.
Just WOW. We had such a blessed experience at The Magnolia at Oxford Commons. Not only is the building beautiful, but the people inside of it are even more so. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, hugs, and smiles. The residents all seem to be very happy, and the staff obviously love their jobs. And the talented chef Gary… no words… there’s not enough stars in the world to rate the food and hospitality. This is not a place you end up, it’s a place that receives you with open arms. What an AWESOME place for these residents to call home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🙏🏼
My mother has been at the Magnolia for 3 years. We started in the assisted living side and the past year we have moved into memory care. The caregivers and activity people are top notch. I feel like they think we are part of their family and treat us as such. We could not ask for a better place to help us care for our "granny". She is constantly engaged during the day whether it is activities in the main room or an outing with Mrs. Kim and a few of her friends. Thank you for all you do! You are truly a blessing to so many!
We had an incredibly short time to find an assisted living arrangement for my husband, prepare his room, and move him in. The facility is very nice, but that doesn’t guarantee good care. People make for good care, and The Magnolia has good people. Edward was invaluable in getting the paperwork and other mechanics done. Kim spent several hours with us making sure she understood my husband’s unique personality and needs and working for a seamless transition. Brandon worked to get the room painted and TV mounted. Vanessa welcomed us and oversaw everything. My husband has been at The Magnolia for almost six months now and has enjoyed a high quality of care and programming. He spends no time in his room because he’s more interested in participating in activities and visiting with the staff. I have received text, email, and phone reports and updates from staff, nurses, and the nurse practitioner whenever there has been a change or concern, no matter how small. I live very close by and drop in often, so I know how all residents are cared for and even loved. My husband still loves to eat, and he never complains about the food. In fact, he can actually remember what he had for lunch. I recently participated in a friends and family dinner that was fabulous! I feel confident that my husband is in a safe, comfortable environment with people who are caring for him well.
We needed help with our grandmother 24 hours a day. She is 96 years old and she has been admitted and is now a resident at the magnolia. This is a very nice place. Very good food and the staff is excellent. I would suggest this for anyone that needs Around the clock Assistance and Care for your elderly family members. We searched foreign and wild and chose this in Oxford, Mississippi the magnolia impressed us, and the apartments are really nice. You can furnish them the way you’d like you also can update them if you want to at your expense.
Mom and Dad have been at The Magnolia for a couple months now, and we are extremely pleased. Mom is fully independent, but Dad suffers from Parkinson’s and dementia and has limited mobility. The leadership and staff at The Magnolia have really gotten to know my parents and have provided Mom with exactly the kind of support we hoped she would get. In addition, the activities coordinator is an upbeat ray of sunshine who works hard to keep residents happy and engaged. Staff provide rides to and from local appointments when needed. With physical therapy (and occupational and speech), a salon, massage therapy, and even mani/pedis all available onsite, life has become much easier for Mom and Dad. My folks really enjoy the food and have found community among the residents. My sister and I have newfound peace of mind. Highly recommend.
It was good overall. A little under staffed. But got better. We picked this community because of the availability and price.
👌 👍
As a resident of the Magnolia at the Commons, the care provided here has exceeded my expectations, as well as those of my family. Much needed physical therapy was quickly provided ‘in house’, as well as a daily exercise class which is excellent and provides appropriate seated exercise, range of motion exercises, and balance strengthening. There are numerous daily activities throughout the day, and a strong sense of community. The atmosphere here is very positive and upbeat. The food is excellent and balanced with a chef who takes pride in providing food which appeals to all residents. My family and I have been more than pleased with our choice for me to reside at the Magnolia. karen Winter
The Magnolia in Oxford is an exceptional place. It gives a very warm, holy feeling and has a huge spacious dining area. Walking in the door, the front desk always treats you with kindness. The residents always seem happy, and the staff from top to bottom take pride in what they do. Rooms are very spacious and kept very clean.
They run specials occasionally. They have some long tenured staff. They communicate to the families about events and updates on the residents. Chef that prepares the meals. They do off site trips for meals, bowling and other things. Have access to medicine being provided to the residents through a 3rd party and medical care on site. Overall, it has been a blessing having my dad there.
