Very nice facility, assisted living is very expensive no matter where you go. We have visited 5 places so far and have not found a affordable living anywhere. They have a top notch restaurant for the residents, the food is very good.
My mom has been there for one week, and unfortunately her first week has been very disappointing. On the day she moved in, no one was there to greet us or help us get settled. We were left to figure everything out on our own.The dining experience has also been very poor. The food quality has been disappointing, and on Sunday, when ribs were being served—a meal we had been told was very good—my mom went down to dinner only to be told they had already run out.It is very frustrating to pay such a high price for residency and then have residents unable to receive the meals being offered. I hope these concerns can be addressed so future residents, and my mom, have a much better experience.
We got to see everything in our tour. We have narrowed it down to two. Your facility is that top two.
She tells me all the time she is very happy with her place. Residents are great she has met a lot of people. Access to library & salon is great. The only issue was it took her a year & 1/2 to get in & she wanted a balcony but didn't get it she just took the next available place. She does have 1.5 baths, & a den. Very roomy.
he staff takes very good care of [name removed]. He is always clean and well cared for. They are kind and friendly. [name removed] likes to joke around with them, and they love it! There are lots of activities. [name removed] has gotten stronger with the chair exercises every weekday morning. They have programs to attend a few times a month. The food is excellent. The building is beautiful and well cared for. The ceilings are higher, so the rooms feel spacious. There are lots of windows to keep it bright and cheerful. We love Rivertown Ridge!
The care staff is very sociable and with cheery personalities. The facility itself is also bright and cheery with lots of windows and light coming in. It is also a newer facility. There are three categories of living there which are independent living, assisted living and Memory Care. One thing I thought that was quite nice was that they have a group of volunteers from both the independent living and assisted living that volunteer with activities for the folks in memory care. There's also an enclosed outdoor area off of the cafeteria that has pretty flowers and plants. My mom and I sat out there quite often and enjoyed the weather and the foliage.
They've been experiencing a lot of turnover and good help in memory care is hard to find. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on our experience. They're still in better shape than many of the others
My parents have been living at Rivertown Ridge Independent Living for a few years now, and overall, it''s been a good experience—about as close to "home" as you can hope for in this type of setting. However, things have taken a noticeable turn recently, and it''s been disappointing to watch.Since the chef left, the dining experience has really gone downhill. They’ve been running out of food, and residents are no longer allowed to purchase extra meals to take back to their rooms. This wouldn’t be as frustrating if the food system wasn’t based on a flat-rate charge. Every month, my parents end up with a large balance of unused meal credits—hundreds of dollars’ worth—which used to be offset by stocking their freezer with extra meals. Now that option is gone, and that money is just…lost. It feels unfair.Another small but meaningful change is how the place feels—especially around the holidays. The festive decorations and warm atmosphere that used to make the community feel special have disappeared with the departure of key staff. And then there’s the cost. The rent has gone up every single year since they moved in. For seniors on a fixed income, these increases have made it harder and harder to stay. One more hike, and my parents may be priced out. When they moved in, Rivertown Ridge made a lot of promises about lifestyle and service that just haven’t held up over time. It’s been sad to watch the quality decline, especially for a community that started off so strong.
Rivertown ridge is beautiful and everything is well maintained and clean. Staff at all levels are incredibly friendly and competent. The memory unit is a welcoming and happy place. This is our third facility and at last we feel that our stepmother is in good hands. She loves getting her hair and nails done weekly and the bistro provides a fun eating experience when we visit. It is more expensive, but at last she gets the care and attention she deserves.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom is a resident of Rivertown Ridge, and what I like most is that the staff is excellent and the facility is clean. I liked their care program which is a specific memory care program. They have exercise, music, and arts and crafts. They have a walk-in tub, a chapel, and a specific garden area for memory care. I like that there are only 30 people in the memory care unit and there's a lot of individualized care. The food is nutritious and very well prepared. The meals that I have had there have been very good. It's a new facility and they have been open for 4 or 5 years, so it's bright and colorful. I am very satisfied with the care, the facility itself, and the care that my mom is receiving.
The Activity Director, Rachel is incredible!
I visited this facility I like Rivertown Ridge. It's newer. It's four years old. The people are very friendly. We went through independent living to their memory care. They were very helpful. People were coming up and introducing themselves. They have a large area for walking, a tennis court, and a lovely outdoor pool. It's just a nice feeling. In terms of cleanliness, it's very clean and very well taken care of.
Beautiful place. Nice size rooms. Like the floor plan. Friendly residents. Good food. He loves the place. Little pricy. Sometimes not enough staff so the care is lacking.
5 for all of these categories. We had a great experience at Rivertown Ridge and it is a great community for my aunt and was for my uncle as well. Highly recommend.
The staff in Assisted Living are caring and competent. The food is quite good. My folks are quite picky though. They always have alternatives if nothing sounds good.
Beautiful place and great staff! My mom loves it here!
My mother was an assisted living resident here and she enjoyed her stay . The rooms were very nice, the access to the dining room and common areas was easy to navigate with her walker, the entire place is very neat and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. No complaints.
Every time I enter Rivertown Ridge, I am always welcomed with a smile and kind greeting! The interior is so gorgeous! The style feels like a luxury resort. When I compared their independent living models units with another senior living community in Holland, MI I was impressed with Rivertown's space and layout! The kitchen was twice the size. The large windows letting in all the beautiful natural light was another win in my books! The food was delicious and I really enjoyed the dessert.
I had an enjoyable experience touring this beautiful senior living community. The staff were exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that would undoubtedly contribute to a comfortable living experience.
I had a family friend move into this community a few years ago; every time I visited, the staff was always friendly, and the community was always clean. They have unique events pretty much every day, and the residents seem to love it.
I spent part of a day in meeting and reviewing the facilities and it was such a pleasant visit. The staff was very engaging with all of the residences, and each staff member knew each residence by name and had something personal to say to each one of them. The facility was spotless and bright. This is certainly a home that I could live in.
When visiting Rivertown Ridge for a family member, the team at the property was very warm and professional. They made me feel at ease and took the time to show me around the beautiful community as they answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend Rivertown Ridge for your loved one.
The staff and occupants are always so nice when I visit. They keep it very clean and well organized. The onsite restaurant is a great addition as well as experience. I look forward to my next visit every time.
