I have been at Point Pleasant for about one month. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The other residents have made me feel welcome. There are multiple activities every day. Three meals a day are included. The food is very good for the most part. The property is clean and well maintained.
I’ve been a part of the Point Pleasant family now for the last 6+ years. I recommend Point Pleasant to anyone looking for a retirement community for their loved ones. They truly care about the residents. After being in the healthcare field for almost 20 years, this is the most organized, clean, friendliest community I’ve been to.
My parents have been very busy playing Bingo, poker and even too the shuttle to the casino. The staff has been wonderful trying to accommodate my mom after surgery. They are liking the food as well. The place is very clean as well as the apartment. The apartment is a little small for them just because they were not happy about downsizing but I feel plenty big.
I looked at a few facilities before choosing Point Pleasant for my aunt. I could not be happier. Not only is everyone friendly kind and caring they made my aunt feel like she is family. They really care. It’s a beautiful well kept facility on beautiful grounds. I’m so comfortable knowing she is truly cared about. They also get to the families and keep us informed, and you can reach them at any time. Again, I am so very, very pleased. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made.. You will not be Disappointed just walk in the door that’s all you have to do to know what kind of facility It is, absolutely beautiful in every way. Cindy
Nice place, friendly staff. I love all the porches. They think of all your needs. Library, beauty shop, and podiatrist are all there at certain times for convenience.
Everyone there was super accommodating and the residents were very friendly ! Made me feel very good about my parents moving there!
The staff is wonderful and the residents made an effort to engage with my mom when she was new.
The facility was clean, the rooms appeared to be comfortable and the staff was very friendly. It looks like a nice option for those who either cannot or choose not to live in their home any longer.
Point Pleasant was amazing to my parents. Go for it! It was amazing! I would recommend it. The food in the dining area was super delicious; the staff were friendly and caring; visitors are always welcome.
They were able to answer all my questions and I got my friend placed in a safe space. Would recommend
Thank you for getting us on the right path. Absolutely recommend Point Pleasant for anyone who wants an honest evaluation
I am very pleased with Point Pleasant. The staff are caring and very supportive of my father's transition out of his home of 83 years. The facility is maintained and clean. I would highly recommend.
What we like the most about the community is the Activities and friendliness. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.
An excellent ran and maintained facility. Many great activities for the residents.
The whole experience has been THE BEST! Heather, the administrator went out of her way to help our family. [name removed], the dining room server is SO friendly. My parents have been playing bingo and poker and have people they say hello to every day!
My parents moved into Point Pleasant in April and they could not be happier. I watched them decline for many years and now they are non stop and living their lives to the fullest. The apartments are beautiful and the staff is superb. I am now volunteering there to teach a drumming class and it is the greatest joy in my life to see everyone so happy. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Keep up the great work. This is not just a place to live out your life, it is definitely home!
I have been to many networking events a Point Pleasant and I know many people that live there. I hear nothing but great things about the living, the care given and the staff. I would highly recommend Point Pleasant to anyone who is in need of a beautiful, friendly place to live with assistance!
Point Pleasant is a beautiful home/community for so many seniors I know. It is always so clean and inviting. The staff (especially Heather and Suzy) are so friendly and caring. My friends and their families love it there!
Point Pleasant is a wonderful environment! So many activities for the residents. Great food and atmosphere.
I have helped a few seniors go through the transition to make this their home and they are truly happy! Staff does a wonderful job with activities, inclusivity, and cleanliness
My friend i helped place is a picky eater, so id give it a 4, but she is hard to judge. But all in all I think I got her in a safe place near to her family which was really the important thing
They were very nice accommodating and very helpful. This was an awesome experience and I have experience with two other homes with other in-laws and parents. Heather was amazing and Diana was a huge help with phone set up. She sat with dad during communion which really put him at ease. The dining staff were really sweet and dealt with my dad and his 'special requests' which isn't always easy. Can't say enough about the homey feeling there.
I could not be any happier with my father's transition to Point Pleasant. It is more than just a home; it is now his community. The staff are the best- understanding, compassionate, and just really good people. Everything is well-maintained, my dad likes the food (which says a lot), and the residents are now my dad's friends. I wish he would have moved here sooner. (In addition to being so supportive of my dad, they have been equally supportive and understanding of me and wanting only the best for my dad. Truly of team of rock stars who work here.)
During the tour they will show the different apartments and go over the amenities included and others that are extra. They keep a good eye out for the tenants and will call if there are any issues they think you should be made aware of.
Improvements have been made over the past year. We were a little surprised on some of the menu items. Many older folks need to watch salt intake or have restrictions but again the dining experience is good and much better than a cafeteria style. ! Very happy with our choice, Actually a fun place to live!
I visited this facility My mom will move into Point Pleasant Retirement. When she walked in, the first thing that caught her eye was the fireplace in the lobby. It seemed to be a gathering place. And then she also went a little farther, there was a four-season room, and then you could go outside from there, which looks over a fairly big valley. I don't know if that's the Turtle Creek Valley or what it is, but it does look out over a fairly big valley and there's nothing behind it. So all she can see is trees. And that's good for her. She went into the dining area and she liked that. The second time we were there, we were at the start of dinner. So we didn't eat there, but she did see how the service was running, and she was okay with that. They do supply a refrigerator and a microwave. There is no cooking place in the apartment unless you bring, say, your own air fryer or slow cooker or something like that. The staff was very good. It appeared to be clean everywhere we went.
A very nice community residents and staff are friendly Food is good but could improve need more variety less chicken and fish Alternatives are available.Entertainment is fun limited availability on lift vehicle for disability is very limited Difficult finding availability for laundry . Housekeeping is excellent . Entertainment director Nancy is excellent Patsy community leader is a real gem
I visited this facility I enjoyed the atmosphere at Point Pleasant Retirement. Everybody seemed very welcoming (not only the staff, but the residents as well), and they just wanted to share about all the exciting things they do within the community. Susie was very knowledgeable about the facility, including the residents themselves, and the interactions that she had with them were just refreshing to see: the care and compassion she showed for them. They serve three meals a day. They have a courtyard and a walking path.
From the very first phone call everyone was so pleasant and understanding. They listened to what we were looking for and explained everything this community offered which turns out to be exactly what we needed. Freedom to do what you want but at the same time offering many services and activities! I would recommend point pleasant to everyone in need of finding a place for mom and/ or dad that aren’t quite ready for a nursing home but just need a little help with everyday things. Plus, The social aspect of it is life changing ! The only reason it’s not a 5 star review across the board is because the meal plans could be better, it’s NOT bad at all but there is definitely room for improvement.
