I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My dad stayed at Shorehaven in Sterling Heights. The people there were very friendly, and the aides were very good and attentive. The place was also clean, so it was just a nice place. All the residents seemed happy there. I think they had an exercise room. The Sterling Heights Library also has a van that comes and brings books in and takes the residents out, so I would say they do have access to books. For activities, they did the typical bingo, badminton with a balloon, and chair yoga. They also had entertainment come twice a month. I think it's pet-friendly too. The upkeep was very nice. The room my dad was in had a kitchenette in there, which he did not use, but was very nice. Everything was fresh and freshly painted. When we got there, the carpet had been cleaned. For my dad's situation, it fit in his budget, so we thought it was a decent price. The way they do it is they charge you for the room, and then the medical portion is a different company that works out of that building, and then you pay, so it all depends on what you need and what kind of a room you get.
I am so excited for my mom to be at Shorehaven!! Christina and Heather have been so wonderful and patient with us. And, we had the pleasure of having Amber showing us around. All of the residents are so friendly and welcoming!! And, it was comforting to hear that they all said they love it at Shorehaven & there is so much fun to experience. They told my mom to hurry up and move in! Shirley and Kim have been wonderful, too along with the dining staff. My mom loves the food, too! :-)
Moving my father in here has been an amazing experience. From the moment I spoke with Kristina, weight instantly began to lift off of my shoulders. Transitioning your loved ones is hard, and she immediately honed in on the stress I was feeling. Once I met with her and she gave us the tour, we immediately knew this place would be my father’s home. When we shared the news Kristina and Heather literally told us we got it from here. Everything has been seamless. From the people living there with happy smiling faces to the employees going above and beyond to create a happy experience - this has been easiest and best decision I’ve made to date. I’m proud to say that MY dad is a resident here!! P.S. The food is also amazing here!
Shorehaven and staff (especially Christina) were amazing. Professional and pleasant setting in a warm and welcoming environment.
Lovely senior home
As we all know having to transition your parents into a new community is not only difficult for your parent(s) but for the family as well because you want a safe, caring and friendly community. Christina and Heather could not have been more accommodating, helpful or kinder. In addition to this being an excellent community for our mom to join, but to know that such wonderful people like Heather and Christina are working, there helps to relieve your worries. We know, along with them, the other workers and the residents my mom will thrive in the community.
Fantastic experience! I first called facility 12/29/25 in morning. Spoke to Christina (Louk). Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Set up an appointment to meet and tour facility 12/30/25. Christina made everything effortless and comfortable during our meeting and tour. That's when I also met Heather. She was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They both let the community kind of speak for itself. Pointed out all the great amenities. But it was never rushed or a 'hard sell'. It was like discussing my Mom's needs with an old friend. Very knowledgeable friends. When I texted Christina (even outside normal work hours) she always responded very quickly. I always felt like we were a priority. Her and Heather always took the extra time with us to discuss my Mom's needs/situation. Never rushed. Always encouraged us not to hesitate to call/contact them with any questions. They both go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We look forward to continuing our experience and interaction as my Mom joins the community.
This living community is the just the place our family was looking for for our mother. From the first moment walking in, it felt like a home. Everyone was engaging and helpful. Christina L. and Heather were very open, kind, caring, and helpful with all aspects of what we wanted and needed for our mother to be included. Accommodations are amazing and staff is knowledgeable and understanding. Christina and Heather went above and beyond to make our family feel part of the community within minutes (and it wasn't a pitch- it was just how they are!) Thank you for making what could have been a scary, defeating milestone in my mom's journey, a very positive, exciting new adventure. We are ALL excited to join the Shorehaven Living Community.

Hello everyone and good day. I'd like to 1st start off by saying thank you to the entire team at Shorehaven for making me feel welcomed in your community. I have been searching for a place for my Mom & I've decided that this is the place for her. Ms. Christina made me feel like family from beginning to end. The tour was very nice as well as the staff. Any concerns that I had are no more. Ms. Christina along with Ms. Heather cleared all of my concerns during my visit. I love my Mom very much and have to make sure that she is in the best place for her peace of mind and my own. These ladies are wonderful and I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to tour this community. My Mom will be moving in very soon and I know that she's going to love her new home. Ms. Christina, thank you for answering all of my questions and for the kindness and respect you gave me. Ms. Heather the same. I look forward to seeing you ladies once my Mom has transitioned into her new home. Thank you so very much.
We are having such a positive experience with Shorehaven, we moved our Mom in last October and the feeling continues in to today. The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and reassured. The Shorehaven staff are compassionate, attentive, and treat my mom with genuine kindness. They go out of their way to make sure she feels comfortable, safe, and engaged every day. They truly know each and every residents by name! Shorehaven is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, home-like atmosphere. Any time Mom or any of us ask something be looked at, it is taken care of very timely. The activities are thoughtfully planned and have really helped my mom stay active and socially connected. She especially enjoys Bingo, Happy Hour and other games. The dining selections are numerous, with meals that are both nutritious, she seems to enjoy them very much. What matters most is knowing Mom is not only well cared for, but cared about. We are so grateful to the entire team and would highly recommend Shorehavem to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their loved one. My mother was a resident of Shorehaven for approximately the last 8 years of her life. She moved in to the facility and made many new and wonderful friends. The facility is very caring for its residents, and the personal attention of the administrative staff to the welfare of the individual residents was a wonderful comfort to the rest of our family. They would have numerous social events that included both the residents and their families. During any times in which the family needed an extra check on the family member the staff was very accessible and more than willing to go the extra mile to accommodate any questions we had. The Executive Director makes herself very accessible is very visible to the residents of the facility. My mother and her family made a great choice of facilities when we chose Shorehaven. They care about their people.
Heather, Amber and the management team in this community are a pleasure to work with! They truly care about their residents and the level of care each one receives! :)

What we like the most about Shorehaven is the leadership, price, communication with loved one. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience.
We moved my mother and stepfather into Shorehaven about 3 years go. It is an amazing place with wonderfully caring people that work there. Heather was the person who originally showed us around and she is now the director. Her compassion and caring over the past 3 years has been phenomenal. Heather ensures that her staff are competent, caring and well trained. The food is excellent with 2 "specials" at lunch and at dinner each day along with the ability to order about 15-20 other items off the menu if you don't crave the special. They clean the apartment for them weekly and there are innumerous daily activities or outings which they can attend. All in all they loved it and particularly the staff who will help you whenever and however you need them to. Including being able to add services all the way up to hospice care in house for my mother at her end. If I needed to stay safe and have my needs assured I would stay here myself!! Highly recommended!
Shorehaven staff has been wonderful throughout our move-in process, and they continue to be supportive when an issue arises, correcting the problem immediately. They have made the best of the situation with the kitchen being down.
I have personally seen how all staff interacts with the residents at Shorehaven. They all TRULY CARE for them and become family to all. I have seen other senior living places with my mom as well as my aunt. None can even come close to the loving and caring staff like Shorehaven. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one to all in need.
Since moving into Shorehaven, my mom has been so much happier and more engaged in activities. Shorehaven is a very welcoming community; everyone shows care, comfort and kindness. Activities staff work hard to keep the residents involved and active while always coming up with new projects and entertainment with many special occasion holiday events. They offer bingo, euchre, pinochle, po-ke-no and happy hour in addition to many other options. The Executive director, Heather, was so helpful in guiding us through the process of transitioning mom from home to independent living. She explained everything thoroughly and made herself available to answer any questions. Excellent communication with family and residents. I am so grateful to everyone for the care she is receiving. This community was the best option and seeing my mom thrive, helped reinforce our decision that moving her was the best choice for providing a wonderful sense of security, safety and peace of mind. More importantly, mom is happy!
Moved Mom in last month and she just loves it. Staff and residents are very friendly and treat her like family. She tells me the food is great and really enjoys the activities. Thank you Shorehaven staff.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Shorehaven, Heather the director and staff have been great to my Mother, just the kind of place I was looking for and thank God I found it. This place is just like family.
I visited this facility I was shown a one-bedroom apartment at Shorehaven and I liked the living room and the little kitchen. It's pet-friendly. So, I get to take my kitty cat with me. The person who toured with me was very nice, polite, and showed me everything. He showed me the dining room, all the activities, and the beauty shop (I was excited about that). He showed me what special things they have. They also have a van that takes you to your appointments if you need to or when they go out to dinner or special concerts. I like it and I'm excited for April to come. The staff was great and the residents were perfect. I didn't try their food, but I talked to some food service people and they were pretty friendly. They showed me the front part of the menu. If you don't like what's there, you can pick on the second part in the menu. I liked it because I'm a diabetic, and in most of the places that I went to, you could only have one meal a day while in the other ones, you had to pay for. In Shorehaven, you can have three meals a day, which is something I wanted. The dining room and the elevators are accessible. I can walk around with my cane and it's really good. The rooms are beautiful. I love the little apartments. It's ideal for me. Shorehaven is close to everything. My sister is out there in McComb Township, so I'm closer to her, so my niece and I would rather be closer to them. Shoehaven was more in my price range. I'm a senior, retired and on a very fixed income and the people there who did the tour have really worked with me on my income.
Shorehaven and the entire team directed by Heather Nikolovski has been great to my Mother law and I would refer Shorehaven to anyone looking for a friendly place to live.
The staff are always very welcoming whenever I visit there. I have also had the pleasure of having a few meals there. The quality of the food is second to none - delicious 😋! Shorehaven is a fantastic option for Independent Senior Living!
The health aid staff is great at communicating with the family about issues, the staff goes in and helps our parents with their cell phones, etc. [name removed] was a pleasure to work with in getting them situated and still helps regularly with little things as we settle.
My dad was a resident for almost 4 years. We moved him in to be closer to his brother who was a resident. He felt at home immediately the staff was so helpful. He loved participating in all of the various activities, these were what kept him active and his mind alert until his dementia and declining health became too much. The medical staff went above and beyond to help him maintain an active life style for as long as possible. My dad and family really felt we were part of a larger family at Shorehaven. The respect and care they provided my father was second to none, and I am extremely grateful that we were able to find such a great assisted living facility for my dad. Several of my cousins also had made Shorehaven the home for their family as well. I had 2 uncles and an aunt that lived Shorehaven as well. We will always appreciate the love and care provided by the entire Shorehaven staff. They are wonderful!
My Mom was a resident at Shorehaven for eight years, she had a great life there. She made several friends there and in no time there were family to her. They continued to keep them entertained and encouraged her to interact with her community. She had many activities she enjoyed playing cards, arts and craft and parties for every holiday,every year they had a picnic and all our family enjoyed the day, Many thanks to Heather and Brenda, and Cindy and all the the staff for giving her a happy life. We moved our mom in to Shorehaven about 4 weeks ago. She is adjusting really well. She said the food is pretty good and she is meeting so many new people. She loves doing all the activities that Shorehaven offers (bingo, cards, live entertainment, exercise class, Saturday night movie night and the monthly field trips they offer.) It was a great decision for her to move here. She feels safe and the staff has been very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend Shorehaven.
